Today, we contemplate from the Book of Luke the events of Crucifixion Friday and pause in reflection and remembrance. 

What happened after Easter?  Jesus gave many convincing proofs that He is alive.  He also set a disciplemaking example for us as He opened the Scriptures "along the way."

Luke writes in such a way to convince his readers of the authenticity of Christ's resurrection.  If he is raised, then we need to surrender and obey and be the sequel of His message to the world.

If we are going to help new young believers to grow, there is a body of key knowledge they need to possess in their heads and hearts, and key practices they need to learn to apply.  Today, we consider helping a young Christian with Bible study, but more importantly, for us and them to get to know the Character of God, particularly His compassion.  

Today we discuss God's power and knowledge and wisdom.

How is salvation gained?  Through Faith (given by God) in response to the Grace extended by God.  If we know we have truly believed and received (embraced) the Son, then we can know we have eternal life.  1 John 5:11-13. 

God promises to forgive and cleanse.  We have our humble part in repentance and confession, but He then does His wonderful work of forgiving and cleansing.

In both New and Old Testaments, God promises His presence with His people.  Take heart, Christian, God is with you!
